The International Congress of Diabetes and Metabolism (ICDM) is an annual conference organized by the Korean Diabetes Association (KDA). The congress aims to bring together researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals from around the world to share their knowledge and expertise in the field of diabetes and metabolism.

The ICDM covers a wide range of topics related to diabetes and metabolism, including the latest research findings, clinical practices, and new technologies. The congress features keynote speeches, plenary sessions, symposia, and workshops, as well as poster presentations and oral abstracts.

With over 1,200 attendees from over 25 countries annually, the ICDM is a highly regarded international conference that attracts delegates from all over the world. The conference is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in diabetes research and to connect with colleagues and peers in the field. Attendees can expect to learn about the latest advances in diabetes research, including new therapies, clinical trials, and emerging technologies. They will also have the opportunity to network with leading researchers, clinicians, and industry experts in the field.

Registration Process

If you are attending our academic conference, you must first log in. If you are a Korean and a member of the Korean Diabetes Association, you can log in with your membership ID without signing up for a new account. Otherwise, you must create a new ID. The International Congress of Diabetes and Metabolism (ICDM) requires a new ID to be created each year, so even if you participated in the meeting last year, you will still need to sign up again for the first time.

  • Regular rate: Medical doctors, Scientists
  • Reduced rate: Healthcare professionals other than medical doctors(nurses, dietitian, pharmacist, others), Residents, Students
  • [For foreigner] Resident / Student registration requires a written letter on their affiliation letterhead, with the statement that the registered person is a resident / student at the time of the Congress, to be signed by the registrant‘s advisor (Professor, Supervisor, etc.).
    This letter ought to be sent to the diabetes@kams.or.kr, with a scanned PDF attachment.
  • The KDA members aged 65 or older are eligible for free registration. In this case they must make early registration.
  • Low income countries (Current Year *2023) Referred at World Bank https://data.worldbank.org/country/XM

Payment Methods

The only payment method accepted for ICDM registration fee is by credit card. This is to enhance transparency and align with the congress operation policy.

Here is additional information for overseas participants regarding payment. Master Card, Visa, and JCB are generally accepted with no issues. However, payment with AMEX or Union Pay may not go through smoothly, so please keep this in mind when proceeding with payment. For domestic participants, most credit cards should work fine for payment.

Cancellation Policy

The refund policy for registration fees is as follows, and please note that refunds are not possible after the dates listed below due to the costs incurred in preparing for the conference.
  • Notification of any cancellations must be made in writing via email to the secretariat.
  • Refunds will be processed after the conference.
  • Bank service charges and administration fees will be deducted from all congress registration refunds.
  • Please refer to the following cutoff dates for cancellations.
