Diabetic complications can develop over time and often go unnoticed until they reach advanced stages. Early detection is crucial as it allows for timely intervention, which can significantly improve patient outcomes. Throughout this session, four speakers will share their cutting-edge findings, touching upon various aspects of early detection. We will explore novel biomarkers, predictive models, and advanced imaging technologies that have the potential to transform the landscape of diabetic care.

Multifactorial interventions can reduce the risk of complications and even mortality in type 2 diabetes. The speakers will present new knowledge covering residual risks after adapting the current multifactorial interventions for prevention of diabetes complications including heart failure, diabetic retinopathy, and diabetic kidney disease. This session will provide the most recent research and new insights on preventing diabetes complications.
