Optimal diabetes management increasingly demands an integrated understanding of cardiometabolic comorbidities and holistic patient care. This essential course addresses three critical areas of contemporary diabetes practice. Speakers will outline the evolving therapeutic landscape for diabetic kidney disease, spanning renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system blockade, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists, and GLP-1 receptor agonists. The course further provides a concise yet comprehensive update on pharmacological strategies for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, as well as evidence-based approaches to achieving and sustaining clinically meaningful weight loss in patients with diabetes. Together, these lectures equip diabetes educators with essential, practice-ready knowledge to address the multifaceted challenges of modern diabetes care.
