Travel grant

International Travel Grant for ICDM 2026

To support international researchers participating in ICDM 2026, travel grants will be awarded to selected applicants who submit outstanding abstracts.
Recipients will be selected by the Scientific Program Committee based on the quality of submitted abstracts.
Travel grants are available only to applicants who meet all eligibility requirements and present their work in person in Seoul.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Overseas abstract presenters under the age of 45 (including Korean nationals residing abroad or affiliated with overseas institutions)
  • Applicants who applied for the Travel Grant at the time of abstract submission
  • Applicants who have completed registration with full payment
  • In-person presentation at ICDM 2026 is mandatory

* Please note that travel grant applications will not be accepted during the late-breaking period.

Funding

Travel grants will be provided in Korean Won (KRW) cash only (no other currencies or payment methods).

Asia & Oceania

KRW 500,000

Outside Asia & Oceania

KRW 700,000

Approximately 500 recipients will be selected.
The grant will be provided onsite at the congress venue.

Required Documents for Collection

All of the following documents are mandatory.
Failure to provide any one of these will result in disqualification of the grant.
All documents will be checked and photographed as part of the verification process.

  • Passport (original)
    * National ID cards, student IDs, photos, or photocopies are not accepted.
  • Name badge (proof of registration)
  • Boarding pass (proof of international travel)

Collection Policy

  • Travel grants must be collected in person by the presenting author after completing the oral or poster presentation.
  • Proxy or delegated collection is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
  • Travel grants will only be distributed onsite during the congress period.
  • Bank transfer, remittance, or post-congress collection is not available.

Application Method

Applicants must select “Apply for Travel Grant” during abstract submission and provide the required information, including age, nationality, and passport copy.

Notification of Results

The Secretariat will notify applicants of the selection results by email after review by the Scientific Program Committee.
Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified. We kindly ask for your patience until the official notification is released.
