    The crime rate in Seoul, especially in regard to foreign tourists, is one of the lowest in the world.

    Government office hours are usually from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays. Banks are open from 9:00 to 16:00 on weekdays.

  • Climate and Apparel

    Autumn in Korea lasts from September through November and is characterized by generally clear and stable weather. During this season, the average temperature in Seoul ranges from approximately 10–20°C, with mild daytime conditions and cooler mornings and evenings, so light outerwear or a jacket is recommended.

  • Currency
    • The South Korean unit of currency is the won (₩), with ₩10/50/100/500 coins.
      Notes come in denominations of ₩1,000/5,000/10,000/50,000.
      The exchange rate is subject to market fluctuations.

  • USIM/eSIM Services

    USIM and eSIM services are available for purchase at the airport. Please note that a valid passport is required for identity verification, and a credit card is recommended for payment.

  • Credit Cards

    Major international credit cards are commonly accepted at most hotels, department stores, restaurants, and shops. Restaurants and shops generally display signs indicating what cards they accept.

  • Electricity

    The standard voltage in Korea is 220 volts at 60 Hz. Plug adapters can be borrowed from some hotel front desks or purchased at airports, retail stores, duty-free shops, and convenience stores.
